Merry Christmas from Downunder
It’s Christmas morning here and we are just about to open our presents and then head off to my wonderful in-laws for a traditional hot lunch, afternoon naps and games of cricket. Yesterday it finally got stinkin’ hot here – so now it really does feel like Christmas Day!

Finding my Christmas mojo.
Only 10 days till Christmas – how did that sneak up on me! I realised this week how lacking in the Christmas spirit I am this year. My head is elsewhere – sorting out the refinance, planning the renovations and getting healthy. Also I don’t go down to the shops much so you kind of miss the Christmass frenzy/ buildup.
Debt update.. cyclone thoughts
I’ve just paid my bills and tossed a snowball and thought I’d update out debt payoff. We’ve now paid $9050 off the debt! I love marking it on the debt thermometer! I am just waiting on one letter that I need to submit the refinance. I’d hoped to have it done by today but now it looks like I can’t get the application in till next week. Can’t come soon enough for me!
Twas the night before Christmas…
Well it’s Christmas Eve here, I finished my shopping this morning and the presents are all wrapped. I claimed my medicare receipts and used that $135 toward the presents and food. The weather is starting to get a bit warmer but it’s certainly not going to be as hot as usual for Christmas. We’re sitting here in shorts and sleeveless shirts, there’s a lovely cool breeze coming in the windows and it’s 25 degrees inside at the minute.
