?As regular readers know I’ve been tracking my daily electricity use and working on cutting down how many KWh we use per day. This week we have averaged 8 per day. Wanna peek in my downsized kitchen cupboards?

Years ago when I first went back to full time work and my kids were small I got given bad advice. It sounded good at the time though. Other working mums told me to buy a diswasher and to buy an extra dinner set, extra mugs, extra tupperware etc. By having a lot more plates and ‘stuff’ I could have one lot stacked in the dishwasher and one lot being used. Just keep the dishwasher loaded and Bobs your uncle – your kitchen will keep cleaner and you won’t run out of dishes.
